Bradenton, specifically

Two Bradentons, and the cages age nothing alike.

West of the Trail and out on the islands — Palma Sola, Perico, Anna Maria, Holmes Beach, Bradenton Beach — salt air runs over everything. The fasteners and the anchors where the cage meets the deck fail years before the screen does, and refinishing a cage there without treating the connections first is money wasted.

East Bradenton, Bayshore Gardens and Braden River is a different climate for aluminum. Frames there routinely outlast two rounds of screen. Those are the jobs where we talk you out of replacement and into a rescreen or a refinish.

Much of Manatee County is deed-restricted, so architectural review comes with the job. We prepare and submit that package — getting color and profile approved before anything is fabricated is what keeps a Bradenton project on schedule.

Questions

Questions from Bradenton homeowners

How much does a pool cage cost in Bradenton?

Every project is quoted individually. Footprint, roof style, height, screen choice and the condition of the deck all move the number — and on the islands the state of the anchors moves it a lot. We measure on site rather than quoting over the phone.

Before pricing a replacement, ask whether you need one. Most Bradenton homeowners who call about a new cage end up with a rescreen or a refinish.

Does Manatee County require a permit for a pool cage?

Yes, for a new enclosure or a structural replacement: a building permit plus engineered drawings showing the cage meets the current wind-load requirement, then inspection. Straight rescreening of a sound structure does not.

We pull permits under our own license, CRC1334065, and meet the inspector.

Why do cages on Anna Maria and Holmes Beach fail early?

Salt air. It attacks the fasteners and the anchors long before it touches the screen. An island cage can need structural work at fifteen years while the same cage in Braden River needs only new mesh.

It is also why refinishing an island cage without treating the anchors is wasted — the paint outlives the connection holding the cage down.

Do you install motorized retractable screens in Bradenton?

Yes. Lanais, outdoor kitchens, patios, balconies and garage openings, with six mesh options from Phifer fiberglass to Florida Glass.

How long does the work take?

A panel repair is usually one visit. Where a permit is involved, most projects finish within 20 business days of the permit being issued.
