2H Rescreening is a Sarasota-based aluminum and screen contractor, working the Gulf Coast since 2017 and led by a civil engineer with more than twenty years in construction. We rescreen and repair existing pool enclosures, replace aluminum structures that storms and salt air have worn out, build new screen rooms and lanais, and install the paver decks that go with them. Every job is run by our own crews and pulled under our own license — so the person who quotes your project is accountable for it.

New pool enclosures engineered and permitted for Florida wind loads, and full replacement of cages that are corroded, storm-damaged or past repair. Mansard, gable and dome roof styles, in white and bronze.
Full rescreens and single-panel screen repair using Phifer 18/14 fiberglass, no-see-um mesh, pet-resistant screen and Perfect Screen polyester. We replace the spline and any failed fasteners while we are up there.
Remove the horizontal cross-bars and swap in tall picture-window panels so the lake, golf course or preserve behind your home is no longer cut into strips. A structural upgrade, not just a screen change.

How it works
You will know what is being done, who is doing it and what happens next before any work starts. Most projects finish within 20 business days of the permit being issued.
We come out, measure the enclosure, look at the frame and fasteners, and talk through screen types and colors. You get a written scope covering exactly what is included.
For new cages and structural work we handle the engineered drawings, the county or city permit and the HOA submittal. All of it is pulled under our license, CRC1334065.
Our own crews do the aluminum, screen and paver work. We protect your deck and landscaping, keep the site tidy each day, and haul away the old material.
We walk the finished enclosure with you panel by panel, correct anything you flag, and meet the county inspector where an inspection is required.

New enclosures and structural repairs are permitted and inspected through Sarasota, Manatee or Charlotte County. Unpermitted work can become a problem when you sell the house.
Screen, spline, fasteners and framing selected for wind load, UV and salt air — three of the biggest things that wear out an enclosure early on the Gulf Coast.

If one or two panels are torn from a branch or a ladder, a panel repair is the right call. Once screen starts tearing on its own at the spline, sags when you press it, or you can see the weave breaking down in several bays, the whole enclosure is at the end of its screen life and a full rescreen costs less than chasing panels one at a time.
We will tell you which situation you are in during the estimate, even when the answer is the cheaper one.
Phifer 18/14 fiberglass is the default and works well for most pool cages. No-see-um mesh has a tighter weave for properties near water where the small midges get through. Pet-resistant screen is heavier and stands up to dogs and cats at the lower panels. Perfect Screen polyester is stronger and lasts longer than fiberglass, and holds its shape better on large panels.
Many homeowners mix them — pet screen on the bottom row, standard above. All of it comes through our supplier here in Sarasota, and each material carries its manufacturer’s warranty.
Yes. A new pool enclosure or a structural replacement requires a building permit and engineered drawings showing the aluminum structure meets current wind-load requirements, and it gets inspected. Straight rescreening of an existing, sound structure generally does not.
We pull permits under our own license, CRC1334065, and meet the inspector. Be careful with anyone who offers to skip the permit — unpermitted structural work turns into a title problem when you sell.
Every project is quoted individually. Cost depends on the size of the enclosure, the screen you choose, the height and access, and the condition of the existing frame and fasteners — which is why we measure on site instead of guessing over the phone.
The written estimate lists exactly what is included, so you can compare it line for line against anyone else’s. Projects up to $65,000 can be financed through Wisetack, subject to credit approval.
In most cases yes. If the aluminum is structurally sound, we pressure wash it, treat rust and corrosion at the fasteners and anchors, replace failed hardware, and refinish the frame. We finish in white and bronze — chalky white back to clean white, or white changed to bronze, are the two most requested jobs here.
If the anchors or lower rails have corroded through, refinishing only hides the problem, and we will say so.
Most projects are completed within 20 business days of the permit being issued. The permit itself is issued by the county on its own schedule, which is the part none of us controls — so we start that clock as early as possible.
You get a scheduled start date in writing, and we tell you the same day if weather moves it.
Our workmanship is covered for three years. The screen itself carries its manufacturer's warranty — Phifer for fiberglass, Perfect Screen for polyester — and both come through our supplier here in Sarasota.

Yes — and it is a large part of what we do. We prepare and submit the HOA architectural review package for homeowners, and we work directly with associations and property managers on community-wide pool cage, lanai and screen repairs. Certificates of general liability and workers’ compensation insurance, plus license documentation, are provided on request.
We document the damage, provide an itemized scope and photographs suitable for an insurance claim, and coordinate with your adjuster. We do not negotiate the claim on your behalf — that is between you and your carrier — but the paperwork we provide is what adjusters ask for.
